My name is Steven J. Asbill Jr. and I am running to represent district 85 in the South Carolina State House.

My goal is to improve the quality of life in District 85.
People here want leadership focused on the issues they face every day; roads that keep up with growth, strong schools, and healthcare they can rely on. That’s where my focus will be.
My priorities include improving healthcare access and affordability, supporting livable wages and work stability, strengthening Lexington County infrastructure, protecting animal welfare, and providing more accessible leadership at the State House.
I grew up in the Whitehall community before recently moving to Coldstream with my husband and our three dogs.
As a pharmacist, I have seen firsthand how policy decisions affect families across the district.
I’ve watched independent pharmacies and urgent cares close, schools stretch resources thinner each year, and roads around Irmo and Chapin fall behind our growth. Too often, the State House is focused on national political fights instead of solving the problems people here are dealing with at home. District 85 deserves leadership that puts local priorities first.
My campaign will emphasize practical solutions and direct engagement with residents across the district. Representation should be visible and accountable. People deserve to know their concerns are being heard and acted on.
Join us in the #StevenNationArmy and let's make District 85 and all of South Carolina a great place to live and call home!
